The Effects of Satisfaction of Implant and Dental Clinic Service on the Oral Health-related Quality of Life

Abstract

|
Objectives: This study investigated factors to influence on the health-related quality of life for implant patients.
Methods: Data were collected by questionnaire. questionnaire was distributed at three private dental clinics, located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, since April 18 to May 7, 2011. Total number of survey were 300 persons and finally 272 persons are analyzed. Regression and structured equation model were used for analysis.
Results: The analysis revealed that the quality of life was significantly influenced by the implant procedure. The quality of life was affected only by the implant satisfaction, but not the dental service satisfaction.
Conclusions: To improve more oral health-related quality of life in the implant patients, dental health care providers should focused on higher service quality of implants.
